City Health Care Partnership (NHS) Hull
A mutual, PCT spin-off by managers and clinical staff providing secondary community based health services, whose members have a £1 non-redeemable share. CHCP’s legal Form is Private Company Limited by shares (Community Interest Company), which means there is a protected asset lock securing pension security for staff, incorporated in June 2007 and operating in 2010. Provision of services include: Health visiting, district nursing, school nursing, prison healthcare, dentistry, prison healthcare, family planning, sexual health and the development of any other health related services which benefit the people of Hull, in particular supporting people back in to work for those who are disadvantaged, disabled or have long term conditions.

Ability Aware Limited
A Cheshire based Community Equipment Service. Private company, limited by guarantee, with no share capital and exempt from charity status. Retailing medical & orthopaedic goods and providing a range of services including a resource centre, information service, advice and assessments on independent living, support private and statutory VO’s through training and seminars, medical treatment, research (terminal illness), provision and retail of community equipment.

Sandwell Community Care Trust
A previously failing in house service under special measures, incorporated in April 1997 as a Private Company (Trust), Limited by guarantee, with no share capital. Use of ‘Limited’ exemption and registered as a Charity so regulated by the Charities Commission. There are five members on the board of trustees meeting four times per year. Providing services including residential and day care to learning and physical disabilities in adults and children, supported living and specialist nursing care. Employing over 500 staff with a turnover now of £11 million which has grown ten-fold and serving over 600 Service Users.

Pluss is one of 6 national framework providers to the DWP to provide work opportunities and support to people with disability. PLUSS manufactures and assembles a range of equipment providing people with paid employment and skills development. More than 52% of PLUSS workforce has a disability of one form or another. Employment Services including advice, support and personal development. Direct employment opportunities in manufacturing and retail sales of mobility equipment. Accounts (31/3/09): PBT £0.496 million on turnover £23.53 million.
